A small quantity of blood is drawn from the patient into a syringe. The blood is spun in a special centrifuge to separate its components (Red Blood Cells, Platelet Rich Plasma, and Plasma). A second spin is usually required to achieve optimal concentration. The platelet rich plasma is separated from the rest of the blood and then activated with a small amount of calcium to allow the release of growth factors from the platelets which in turn amplifies the healing process.  Following the administration of local anaesthesia, PRP is then injected directly into thinning areas of the scalp.

We recommend a course of 3 to 5 Treatments every 4 weeks apart, administered monthly, for a cumulative effect. Then PRP injection every 3 to 4 months on a long term basis.
